Things I've Learned as a Law School Wife

Here we are, finally at the end! A few things I've learned over the last three years:

-You could literally buy a car with what you'll spend on books in one semester. Maybe, like, an '87 Ford Festiva, but a car nonetheless.

-You can start an argument, but don't expect to finish it. A law student is dangerous because they're learning all of these new skills but lack a legitimate outlet to practice them. They. Will. Argue. About. Anything....and won't stop until you acquiesce.

-You don't know what acquiesce means, you say? Be prepared to hear lots of words you're unfamiliar with. At times, you may need to sneakily consult a dictionary. Eventually you may learn that it's easier to admit that you're dumber than everyone in the room and ask for a little Legal Lingo 101.

-Accept the fact that you're going to be poor. Try not to cry when you can't afford Christmas decorations.

-The law library? It involves more ping-pong playing and aforementioned arguments than actual studying.

-Infidelity is rampant and hearing about your spouses day may or may not make you feel like you're at a taping of the Maury Povich show.

-Don't ask anybody about their LSAT score. It's like asking for their social security number.

-And lastly, those two weeks of finals? They look like this:
